Overview
Fort Worth is known for its Texas hospitality, historic architecture, and western heritage. It is the 17th largest city in the nation, and was recently named one of the friendliest cities in America by readers of Conde Nast Traveler. The city offers great shopping, dining, family fun, outdoor attractions, and much more.
Fort Worth is home to Billy Bob’s, the largest honky tonk in America. It was also named one of the best music scenes outside of Nashville and Los Angeles. Recently the city was ranked as the 9th safest city in America, as well as deemed one of the most livable cities nationwide. Corps members frequent Sundance Square, where they can enjoy live music, attend the theatre, experience the night life, or simply stroll through downtown. Just a few minutes away from the lively downtown scene, you can explore the beauty of the Fort Worth Water Gardens. Another outdoor staple of the city is the Fort Worth Zoo, which was the first outdoor zoo in the state of Texas. Despite being known for its western feel, Fort Worth has a diverse range of activities for everyone.
